I moved my blog to WordPress. Hopefully this will help with comment spam… plus it’s still free.
In other news, the Tellme UI team dressed up as Fandango puppets for Halloween this year. We were quite a sight (see for yourself). I was a Dorothy puppet and Milo came with me as Toto, and we won the group costume contest!

Shipra, Alex and I drove up to Montreal for a fun week at the 2005 Usability Professionals Association (UPA) conference.
Montreal is a neat city and we had a good time exploring. We were there for the beginning of the month-long Jazz festival and saw some fireworks on Canada Day. And of course we ate a LOT of food. We also stopped in Toronto and Niagra on our way home.

Merci!

Last week was commencement at CMU, and since there’s only one each year all of us MHCI August graduates got to walk early.
It was quite odd to go through the ceremony feeling like we still have so much left to do before we’re really done… but it was a fun weekend.
A couple of pics from the day are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hari.
Congrats to all the MHCI “graduates”!

Over spring break a bunch of us drove to New York to take a break from our school work and get the heck out of Pittsburgh. We hit up the museums, the shows, as many neighborhoods as we could find, and we even made it to see the gates before they all were taken down.
It was a fun trip. I didn’t take as many pictures as I usually do, but here is a link to my album on flickr.
And Jenn has an album up with her photos from the trip.

So I’m back in Pittsburgh and back in school, after a nice long winter break. Since I haven’t written anything in a while I thought I’d put up the poster I made for my interaction design class — click on the picture or here to see the pdf file. The assignment was to find a widget in need of a redesign and then redesign it. And of course make a pretty poster and CD.
Other than that… it’s been cold and snowy here.
